Double-Take® Server Recovery Option (SRO) is a streamlined, full server data protection solution that reduces costs for businesses by simplifying installation and restoration. In combination with Double-Take continuous data replication, it allows customers the ability to restore entire servers, including the operating system (OS), applications and data – even to servers with different hardware configurations. An uncluttered user interface even makes Double-Take Server Recovery Option easy for non-technical staff to install and maintain.

Double-Take Server Recovery Option works with Double-Take. Once Double-Take is installed, Double-Take continuously replicates changes to data, applications, and the source server’s operating system, protecting the entire server. When it’s time to recover, the Recovery Manager included with the Server Recovery Option, allows the user to configure and perform full-server recovery. There are also added validation steps to make sure recovery will go as planned. Double-Take Server Recovery Option can also be used to migrate a server to different hardware, allowing you to repurpose licenses for disaster recovery.

Double-Take Server Recovery Option, which is used with Double-Take, is the first of its kind to combine continuous data replication with continuous system state protection and allows recovery from either the real-time image of the system or a snapshot image of the system from a previous point-in-time. This additional flexibility makes the solution ideal for recovering from unwanted changes such as viruses, corruption and accidental deletions.

Please be aware that Double-Take for Windows, Server Recovery Option actually requires that you have either Double-Take for Windows, Server Edition or Double-Take for Windows, Advanced Edition licenses for both your source and targets servers.
