Most access control systems use a standard communication language (protocol) called Wiegand.

The Digitus 600W Wiegand Unit is designed to seamlessly integrate with existing access control systems and uses the 26 bit Wiegand protocol. It is supplied in a reader-only configuration.

Integrating a Digitus 600W Wiegand unit with your existing system is as easy as removing your existing swipe card or proximity reader and replacing it with the Digitus 600W unit.

The Wiegand parameters of your existing system are then programmed via the keypad and LCD. SIMPLE!

The 26-bit Wiegand protocol allows for upto 65,536 users.

Each user of your existing system will already be assigned a unique ID between 0 and 65,535. 

The Digitus 600W stores this unique number for each user and will output this number to the existing controller after successfully verifying a user’s fingerprint.
